We've come this far by faith...

For starters thanks to Aunty E, for letting us borrow the Elmo Potty Training Video. BJ loves it and we must return it soon. BJ has been kicking potty training butt...and mom gets a pat on the back for her level of consistency as well. So the other day, BJ said "mommy, potty?" I of course said, "yes?" He sat on the pot and WENT!!! Wheewww hoo!

He has worn undies to school this week and has stayed dry!

My fear is that someday we are going to have to leave the house, haha, and I will have to keep up the consistency while we are out and about. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. It is going to be so easy to just throw on the pull up and "forget about it" (in my Italian voice).

I always explain to BJ that potty training is a life skill. Yes those are my exact words to him. We can do it.

I was looking at BJ the other day, just thinking he is so big now. I remember the day he was born and now he is independant and bossy. Much to much for me...potty training today, going off to college tomorrow.

Here is a pic of BJ at nine days old. Lord help me.

Elmo

BJ is attached to this figurine. Aunty E got it for him for his b-day this year! He cannot go to sleep without it, well I suppose he could (and he did), but trust...its much easier with it. The toy is the size of a staple remover, so when its lost...its lost for a while. We had a good bath time last night and it was time to say our prayers...then BJ says, "whereElmoat" yes all one word. *insert a complete breakdown here*

The toy came with Count Dracula (see picture)...so I tried to give him that instead. I think he literally looked at me like I was crazy. I finally found the toy in my bed when I got ready to lay down. Coincidence...or irony, idk.

*Before school potty time went well this morning. Hope you are praying with us on potty training.

Back by popular demand...

I hadn't really thought of blogging everyday...you know just a couple times a month really. However, my dear friend pratically ran me down for this new post, lol. So I'm going to dedicate this to her...love ya. (Yes, everyone this is an inside joke)

Fall Recipe

My co-worker found this really simply, quick, recipe to do with the kiddies.

Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispy Treats

Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons margarine

1 8oz bag of Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows

5 cups of rice cereal

Directions

In a large pot, over medium low heat, melt the margarine and marshmallows.  Stir in the rice cereal and coat the cereal completely.  Dump the cereal mixture into an 9x13 Pyrex dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray.  Spread the cereal mixture evenly in the dish.  Cool for about 30 minutes, if you can stand to wait that long.

I have not made rice krispy treats in probably 15 years, think I may crank these out with BJ one weekend. Oh the Marshmallows are at Wally World, the Jet Puff brand.

BJ "isms"

So I got this from another blog and decided to do it for my son! He cracks me up with his little sayings these days...

Me: *pours juice*

BJ: That’s enough

Me: *finishes putting lotion on BJ, I sit on the floor to dress him etc*

BJ: All done

Me: Yep

BJ: Put that back (the lotion)

BJ: Hi guys (Learned from school)

BJ: Careful! (Learned from school)

Crocheting

So my co-worker and I were trying to think of a good gift for our boss for Boss' Day, which is 10/16/2012 (so dont forget) anyhoot...we came up with a Crocheting Class, clever right! Who doesn't want to learn to crochet. My hope is that I get into it, and I will spend less time watching RHO...*insert city here*. Maybe my first project will be a little blanket? Will keep you posted.
